Kyokushinkai India is a registered trustee body operating nationally whose founder president is Shihan Shivaji Ganguly, the BRANCH CHIEF AND THE ONLY UCHIDESHI DISCIPLE OF SOSAI MAS OYAMA FROM INDIA . He is the Asian Representative and Indian Chairman of IKO World SO-KYOKUSHINKAI (Shizouka, Japan) whose president is Shihan Daigo Oishi ( uchideshi of Sosai Mas Oyama and World Number 4 of his time ). The headquarters of Kyokushinkai India is at Kolkata and it operates democratically with a proper committee which is headed by Shihan Shivaji Ganguly, the honorary life time president of this organization. The Secretary and chief coordinator is Sensei Shibayan Ganguly

THE FORMATION OF KARATE
The formation of Karate In 1429, the three kingdoms on Okinawa unified to form the Kingdom of Ryūkyū. When King Shō Shin came into power in 1477, he banned the practice of martial arts.

REPORT – SHIVAJI CUP
We are pleased to inform that one Bengal Level Full Contact Karate Championship -Shivaji Cup was held at Magma House, Park Street, Kolkata, organised by Shivaji Ganguly’s Academy Mind & Body, Supported by: -“Martial Art India”. The tournament was held on 12th February, 2017 from 11:30 AM onwards.
In the tournament, there were 32 participants who participated from the various parts of Bengal in the division of two category.
1) Cadet Category – From 16 to 18 years
2) Open Category. (Senior)
The supreme judge of the tournament was Shihan Shivaji Ganguly who is the president of Kyokushinkai India and the chairman of IKO World So-Kyokushin Indian Branch.

This is an iconic club. The training is done under the watchful eyes of the Living Legend Shihan Shivaji Ganguly, one of the best Student of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama the Grand Master and Founder of Kyokushin Karate. He is also the Only Appointed Branch Chief of Sosai Oyama.
His dedication, perseverance and discipline is unmatched. I am privileged to be his direct student. All who says they teach Kyokushin in any form in India especially in West Bengal has either been his student or has been a dojo operator under him.

It all first started in India from this institute by Shihan Shivaji Ganguly. He is the only person from India who got his 5 Dan black belt from Sosai Mas Oyama. Hence nothing more needs to be said.

Training under this group from May, 2010. I found training, discipline and so much inspiration from shihan , Shibayan, Shyamantak sampai and others seniors.
Mostly I found discipline from Shibayan sampai and hard work inspiration from Shyamantak sampai, Sauvik sampai, Dipankar sampai, Dipayan sampai, Sudipta sampai and Shekhar sampai. Mostly Shihan is the person who created a criteria for this type of hard work and discipline with so much fun and entertainment.
